Well, we survived the deep freeze. Temps this week are forecasted to be in the 50’s. That’s 70 degrees warmer than a week ago! Unreal! But, we are grateful for the moisture that did come with the cold. Don’t know just how much, but it was enough to make my yard messy.

CAMBRIDGE - It was a big weekend for youth sports in Cambridge as the Cambridge Youth Sports Commission held its annual basketball tournament, which drew 41 teams, Saturday before the Cambridge Wrestling Club held its tournament, which drew nearly 35o wrestlers, on Sunday.

The 2nd Annual Baby Crawling contest sponsored by Waypoint Bank was held Thursday, February 18 during half time of the girl’s subdistrict final basketball game between Southwest and Dundy County Stratton. There were five contestants competing (Above) L to R: Emery “Lightening Lou” Johnson; Kaitlyn “Katie Kat” Ruf; Wrenley “The Rocket” Helms; Judson “The Jet” White and “Wild Walker” Rich. The winner was (Right) “The Rocket” Wrenley Helms. All contestants received a Certificate of Participation & a Waypoint Bank piggy bank. The winner received a trophy & $50 in Chamber Bucks

The Gosper County Senior Center is open for in-house meals. Oh it seems like a long time since we’ve been open! Good to have you back. As long as our Gosper County numbers stay down we can remain open. The Gosper County Senior Center will continue to serve meals for delivery or pick-up. We are following the guidelines that WCNAAA has suggested for our Center. If you would like to have a meal to pick up or have a meal delivered please call the Senior Center at 785-2500.
