ELWOOD – The school board joined 47 other Nebraska school districts and passed a resolution rejecting the first draft of the Department of Education’s Health Standards during their August 9, 2021, regular monthly board meeting. Board members were given copies of the Department’s second draft that was released last month to review, but no action was taken on the revision.

LINCOLN, Neb. — Two fishing cleaning stations are out of commission at the Sutherland and Johnson state recreation areas as they get upgraded with a more efficient and safer design.

The Nebraska Archaeological Society’s 17th annual Artifact Show will be held Saturday, August 21st from 9 AM to 5PM at the Seward County Fairgrounds, Harvest Hall in Seward, Nebraska. Highlights include world-class displays of archaeological artifacts, flint knapping demonstrations and professional identification of artifacts and bone. Admission for adults, kids under 12 are free. The summer’s last Farmer’s Market will be held on Sunday, August 15 from 5:00-6:30 and will be located behind the Courthouse. Item include: Fresh Produce, Jellies (Junk & Jellies out of Beaver City), Jerky, Handmade rugs (YoAdrianneCo out of Lexington), Ice-Cream, Baked goods and More!
