FURNAS CO. - This March, the Cambridge, Arapahoe, Oxford, and Beaver City Senior Centers join the Administration for Community Living and senior nutrition providers across the country to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the national Senior Nutrition Program.

FROG (Fitness Reaching Older Generations) classes are held Tuesday and Fridays in Cambridge at the Congregational Church from 9:30 am – 10:30 am. “No requirements, come and have fun.” Call Marty Teter at 308-697-4299 with any questions.

April will mark the final Brown bag activity kit of the season. These FREE activity kits are available to all ages and each brown bag kit contains the supplies needed to complete one project. In the month of April, individuals can choose to mix up a sugar scrub or start a collection of pet cactus. To request a FREE Brown Bag kit, contact the Furnas County Extension office at 308-268-3105 by April 15. Limit 1 kit per child. The kit you select will be available for pickup by April 22. Kits will be available for pick up at your designated locations either at the Furnas County Extension Office, Butler Memorial Library in Cambridge, Arapahoe Library, Beaver City Library, or the Oxford Public Library in Oxford. The Gosper County Senior Center is in full swing and has coffee drinkers in at 8:30, pool-players in the midmorning, exercise machines that are in motion, a puzzle on the table, domino game to get started after lunch and of course great noon dinners for you to enjoy with friendly neighbors.
