Body
Sons of The American Legion, Lee Ferguson Squadron 343 has been keeping busy. On May 29, members helped put up grave marker flags in the Edison Cemetery. On May 30, members assisted raising and lowering the “Avenue of Flags” in the Edison Cemetery. They were also a part of the honor guard for the Memorial Day programs at Edison, St. Mathew’s, and Holbrook Cemeteries. On June 4, members placed flags along a mile stretch of Highway 6 & 34 as part of the Sons of The American Legion national commander’s project Flying Flags For Heroes. This is a project to raise awareness of our veterans. It is our way of honoring the past, remembering the sacrifice, and respecting our military.

Holbrook Lions Club Auction...big day for Holbrook

Body
The big day was Saturday for the successful Lions Club Consignment Sale in Holbrook. There hasn’t been a sale where everyone could gather for a couple of years due to the Covid 19 pandemic. It was nice to be outdoors with the sunshine and friends to hang out with...and maybe a bargain or two to be had. There were around 700 bidder numbers given out and six auctioneers going at the same time to help get through all of the items for sale. The sale ended around 6:00 p.m. { }
