Southern Valley - The Southern Valley School Board approved raising the pay scale for paras and subs once again during their regular meeting on Monday, August 8, 2022. Superintendent Bryce Jorgenson apologized to the board saying they did this not too long ago, but after interviewing and talking to some paras he feels they need to move the starting pay from $12 to $14.

The community came out before, during and after an appreciation fundraiser for Oxford Fire and Rescue on the evening of Saturday, August 6. There is not a final total, but the amount raised is around $15,000.
