Oxford, Ne – Local farmer, Arlan Leising, recently directed a $5,000 Bayer Fund ‘America’s Farmers Grow Communities’ donation to the Oxford Area Food Pantry. The Food Pantry will use the funds to fill their shelves and distribute pantry items to clients who call for help.

Tri Valley Health System would like to invite you to learn about the basics of Medicare and what you need to consider when you are approaching Medicare eligibility on Tuesday, September 6 from 12:00 pm-1:00 pm at the Cambridge Community Building.

Members Present: Tom Shoemaker, Darcy Johnson, Logan Baker, Dave Custer, Derek Downer, Judy Jackson, Jarod Albers, Jan tenBensel, Randy Heitmann Members Absent: None Others Present: Melissa Jackson, Ashley Gerlach, Jessica Alexander Consent Approval of Financials/Invoices and Minutes and Bills: The Board reviewed the monthly financials. A motion was made by Jan tenBensel, seconded by Logan Baker, to approve the financials. Motion passed.

Week Aug. 26 – Aug. 30 Monday – jiffy burger, fruit salad, mixed veggies, and fruit cocktail.

Tuesday – ham, cabbage, deluxe potato, pineapple, and birthday cake. Wednesday – roast beef, mashed potatoes & gravy, green beans, four fruit salad, and cherry pudding dessert.

Thursday – salmon patty, vegetable pizza, onion roasted potatoes, peaches, and ice cream. Friday – spaghetti, sensational broccoli, fruit salad, apricots, and Texas toast.

The Gosper County Senior Center is in full swing and has coffee drinkers in at 8:30, pool-players in the midmorning, exercise machines that are in motion, a puzzle on the table, domino game to get started after lunch and of course great noon dinners for you to enjoy with friendly neighbors. The staff will continue to make your visit here, either while participating in the activities or eating our noon meal, as positive and enjoyable as can be. Thanks for your support.
