The Gosper County Senior Center is in full swing and has coffee drinkers in at 8:30, pool-players in the midmorning, exercise machines that are in motion, a puzzle on the table, domino game to get started after lunch and of course great noon dinners for you to enjoy with friendly neighbors. The staff will continue to make your visit here, either while participating in the activities or eating our noon meal, as positive and enjoyable as can be. Thanks for your support.

The Christmas Lighting Contest sponsored by the Elwood Chamber of Commerce will be judged on Wednesday, Dec 7th between 6-7 p.m. 1st place will receive $75 in Chamber Bucks with $50 in Chamber Bucks for 2nd place and $25 in Chamber Bucks for 3rd Place..

Arapahoe Food Pantry will Be open in December this year

In year’s past, the Arapahoe Food Pantry has closed in December, but this year, they will be open in December during regular hours. They will also be making up Christmas boxes but will not be able to deliver them to your door. You can pick them up at the Pantry.

County Government Day for Furnas County was sponsored by The American Legion and American Legion Auxiliary November 18, 2022. Arapahoe and Southern Valley High School Junior classes and their teachers gathered in the District Court room, along with seven members of The American Legion and a member of The Sons of the American Legion.
