LINCOLN - The Southwest football team’s 5-3 regular season was rewarded with a berth in the Class D6 playoffs Friday. Their reward came with a pricetag, though, as the Roughriders were shipped to Lincoln to face one of the very best six-man teams in the State.

Cambridge back to State Tournament after sweeping past Bancroft-Rosalie

GRAND ISLAND - In what turned out to more of a slog than a dress rehearsal for the State Tournament, the secondseeded Cambridge volleyball team did what it was supposed to with 15th-seeded Bancorft-Rosalie in saturday’s district final at Grand Island Central Catholic. Cambridge improved to 29-2 with a 25-20, 25-10, 25-21 win over the Panthers to clinch their second-consecutive trip to State and their third in five seasons.

Tri Valley Health System is excited to announce they will be caring for rehabilitation patients in their new location at 211 Nebraska Avenue in Arapahoe, Nebraska on Tuesday, November 1, 2022. Tri Valley Health System purchased Arapahoe and Oxford Physical Therapy Clinics from Southwest Nebraska Physical Therapy (SWNPT) on June 10, 2022 and was awaiting approval from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) and Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) to be able to open the building.

Arapahoe Rehab & Fitness Held An Open House On Friday

The Arapahoe Rehab & Fitness held their open house on Friday with over 100 people coming to check out the new building and enjoy pulled pork sandwiches, chips and cookies. Around 30 memberships were sold that day but you can still purchase memberships during business hours. There were two drawings held and Barb Powell won 4 free personal training sessions and Jerry Schroeder won the massage gun. Five lucky winners getting a t- shirt and shaker bottle were Joetta Glanzer, Kurt DeVries, Marilyn Martin, Evan Jones and Linda Hamel. Thirty community groups in the Elwood Area are taking part in the 3rd Annual Give BIG Elwood on November 10th, 2022. This 24-hour day of giving is hosted by the Lexington Community Foundation in conjunction with Give LINCOLN – Gosper County has received another membership dividend, this time in the amount of $2,708, from the Nebraska Intergovernmental Risk Management Association II (NIRMA II), the county’s workers’ compensation coverage and risk management services provider. The dividend was part of a half-million dollar distribution shared with 81 Nebraska counties and eight countyassociated agencies during NIRMA’s annual membership conference Oct. 20-21 in Kearney.
