The Oxford Library has been busy on Friday mornings with story hour. The Friday before Thanksgiving they read 'The Squirrels Who Squabbled'. They then had a winter nut hunt in the library to find acorns and made acorn hand puppets and had a snack. Story time is every Friday morning with the next one on December 2nd. News day almost got away from me. Guess I was so shocked to wake up to thunder and hail! On December 13th! The gauge here on The Hill showed .51” of rain.

Cambridge Board of Education met in regular session on Monday, December 12, 2022. Board Member Sally Farquhar was excused from the meeting. Newly elected board member Virgil Banzhaf was present as a guest.

Merriam Webster defines humanity as “compassionate, sympathetic, or generous behavior or disposition.” It is also defined as “the quality or condition of being human.” The first definition is what people want in a health care provider. We all want to be taken care of by a caregiver who is compassionate, kind, sympathetic, and generous with their time and knowledge.

Last Friday, I attended the change of command ceremony at U.S. Strategic Command (STRATCOM) headquarters at Offutt Air Force Base.
