Cambridge Council approves revision to Late Payment Penalty Policy

Cambridge City Council met in regular session on Monday, January 16, 2023, at 6:30 pm. All Council Members were present for the meeting. After the Pledge of Allegiance, Council approved all consent agenda items. Council then approved the Fire Department Meeting Minutes and Active Roster as submitted.

More than $5,000 in cash, goods stolen from Cambridge Dollar General

CAMBRIDGE - Saturday morning, a snacks vendor arrived at Dollar General in Cambridge to find the store locked up and closed. The vendor contacted the manager, who asked another employee to go unlock the store, assuming the employee that was scheduled to open had “no-called/no-showed.” When staff arrived to open the store, they learned it was much worse than that.

Southern Valley girls continue to roll

Arapahoe bowlers compete at Lexington Invite

Follwing the holiday break, the Arapahoe bowling team returned to action in the Lexington tournament at the Big Apple in Kearney where the girls team took 2nd place. On the boys side of things, Lael has really started taking off as of late.

CAMBRIDGE - A 9-0 start was a foreshadowing of things to come as the Cambridge boys basketball team rolled to a 60-32 victory over visiting Southwest Friday. The Trojans earned their fifth win of the season and improved to 5-6 whiel Southwest fell to 3-6 on the season.

Roughriders pull away from Wa-Pa

BARTLEY - After a frustrating contest the night before, the Southwest boys basketball team took it out on visiting Wauneta-Palisade Saturday as the Roughriders rolled to a 48-24 victory. Southwest jumped on the Broncos early, but had some trouble shaking completely free until the fourth quarter.

CAMBRIDGE - A hot start to the contests was enough to push the Cambridge girls basketball team past visiting Southwest Friday. The Trojans raced out to a 13-3 lead in the first quarter and, though the lead evaporated before halftime, it was enough to push the Trojans to a 42-36 victory.
