Tri Valley Medical Foundation is currently accepting scholarship applications for students in our area. High School seniors and students currently enrolled in college pursuing careers in the medical field and nursing programs are encouraged to apply.

Sunday was the day to find lots of good food. The Lebanon American Legion served an early evening pancake supper. A nice crowd turned out for the really good pancakes, sausage, and scrambled eggs. Proceeds of the event will be directed to Legion programs for youth.

INDIANOLA - The Indianola City Council met Monday for a lengthy discussion on a number of topics, including a presentation of the audit, snow removal, Christmas lights and a grant received toward the purchase of a new ambulance among other topics. the meeting began with an audit presentation from Michael Hoback of Almquist, Molzahn, Galloway and Luth. Hoback said the City’s cash reserves are in good shape and only noted a couple areas of slight concern, one of which was sewer rates keeping up with the cost of service for the City.

The Red Willow County GOP (Republican Party) will meet on Tuesday, February 28, 2023, at Bedore Barn/ Marlene’s Kitchen (3 miles north of McCook). Derek Oden, campaign representative for Senator Deb Fischer, has asked to visit this month.

Chadron State College has announced the names of 341 students who qualified for the institution’s Fall 2022 Dean’s List by earning at least a 3.5 grade point average. To qualify, students must be enrolled in 12 credit hours of coursework, be seeking their first bachelor’s degree, and have no incomplete grades during the semester. Cities and states listed are the addresses provided by students in the CSC Student Information System.

Chadron State College has announced the names of students who qualified for the institution’s Fall 2022 academic honors lists. The President’s List consists of 225 students with a 4.0 grade point average on a 4.0 scale.
