This year’s Holbrook Days Parade Grand Marshall was Leola Mooney. Mooney grew up in the Holbrook area.

National nonprofit Wreaths Across America (WAA) is proud to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Patriot Guard Riders (PGR) in an effort to build a stronger awareness for each group’s common missions while supporting events throughout the nation.

The 38th Annual Holbrook Carp Shoot was held on June 11th with 10 adult teams competing and 10 kids shooting as individuals. Winners this year were Brock and Dillon Mowry with 241.9 lbs.

March 28, 1984 - April 15, 2023 Loren Alton Mooney, age 39 passed away at his home in Nipomo, California. He was born at Long Beach Memorial Hospital to Susan Locklair Mooney and Rockie Mooney. Loren attended Lampton Elementary, Glazier Elementary, Los Alisos Middle School, and graduated from El Camino High School in La Mirada, Class of 2002. He participated in Little League, soccer and Boy Scouts Troop 911, 533. He became an Eagle Scout in February 2002.

The Cambridge Class of 2003 met Saturday, June 17 at the house of Bill and Kathy Lewis for a class reunion.
