After 30 years in the McCook Public School System, Indianola Lynda Baumbach had no intent of returning to work after she retired in the spring of 2012.

James “Jim” Dean Paxton of Beaver City, Nebraska, passed away in his home surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, July 30, 2023 at the age of 60. He was born in Cambridge, Neb., on December 23, 1962 to Donald Dean Paxton and Eunice Loreen (Wendland) Paxton, joining his four siblings Janice, Billy, George and Patti.

A Funeral Service for James C. “Jim” Logston was held on Wednesday, August 9, 2023, at 10:30 a.m. at the Presbyterian Church in Orleans, Nebraska with Reverend Dr. W. Kirwin Stewart, Jr. and Mr. Neil Collins officiating. Interment followed at the Orleans Cemetery, Orleans, Nebraska, with military honors provided by the Orleans American Legion Post #184 and the United States Army National Guard Funeral Honors Team.
