CAMBRIDGE - The Tri Valley Health System Board of Trustees has commenced a search for a new CEO to lead Tri Valley Health System and expects to name a new CEO by April 1, 2024. Applications are being accepted until March 1, 2024.

The Testing Ag Performance Solutions (TAPS) awards banquet held on Saturday, January 13, was the culmination event for the program’s seventh year of farm management competitions. The TAPS program was created by University of Nebraska educators and specialists, as an innovative way of connecting producers to industry professionals and offering a way of testing out new, advancing technologies through farm management competitions facilitated in North Platte, Neb., at the West Central Research, Extension, and Education Center.

SOUTHERN VALLEY - The Southern Valley girls basketball team beat Bertrand and Centennial last Thursday and Saturday. The Eagles defeated the Vikings 54-12 and the Broncos 53-43.

Recently I had the privilege to join the Governor, various leaders of Nebraska religious groups, and my fellow Senators in the tradition of declaring January 16 th as Religious Freedom Day. Religious Freedom Day was first signed by proclamation by President Bush in 1993 and has continued to be proclaimed by every President each year after. President Bush chose January 16th as the date based upon Thomas Jefferson’s draft bill for Establishing Religious Freedom in Virginia.
