By Erin Laborie, Livestock Systems Educator Nebraska Extension and Nebraska Beef Quality Assurance (BQA) will be offering BQA and BQA Transportation (BQAT) certification opportunities in February for producers needing certification/ recertification. Many commercial beef packing facilities require producers who sell fed cattle to them to be BQA certified and those who deliver cattle to their facilities to be BQAT certified.

Head Start, a program of Community Action Partnership of Mid Nebraska (Mid), provides comprehensive services to 20 families in Furnas County. Furnas County Head Start is now taking applications for the 2023-2024 year.

UNMC announces Fall Dean’s List

The University of Nebraska Medical Center has announced its spring 2023 dean’s list for students enrolled in nursing, the allied health professions, pharmacy and dentistry. To qualify for the dean’s list, students must be enrolled for 12 or more hours during the semester and have a grade point average of 3.75 or above.
