The Maywood Youth Club, which met at the Maywood Christian Church, concluded its program for this year on April 3. The theme this year was “Little Hands and Small Acts Can Change the World” and featured the “Be Kind” theme song. The weekly meetings included an opening prayer, snack time, singing, Bible story group time review of the story, Bible verse memorization, games/crafts, and closing prayer.

Cambridge hosts 175 for disc golf tournament

CAMBRIDGE - Despite some less-than-ideal conditions, 175 disc golfers took to courses in McCook and Cambridge Saturday for the seventh-annual McCook Open Disc Golf Tournament. The tournament included rounds of 18 in both Cambridge and Mc-Cook Saturday before Sunday’s final round was cancelled due to weather.

KEARNEY - The Arapahoe Warrior's track and field team traveled to Kearney last Thursday to compete in the Pleasanton Dick O'Neill Memorial Invitational. Against thirteen teams, the Lady Warriors placed fourth as a team and the Arapahoe boys tied for eleventh.

SUTHERLAND - The Maywood-Hayes Center track and field team traveled to Sutherland last Thursday to compete in the Sutherland Booster Club Invite. The MHC boys placed second out of ten teams, and the girls placed fourth as a team.

FRANKLIN - The Hi-Line track and field team traveled to Franklin to compete against twelve other teams last Tuesday. The Hi-Line boys won the meet with 90 points, and the Lady Bulls placed 11th as a team.
