Many brave Americans lost in World War II have yet to return home, and their remains rest far away from the homeland for which they gave their lives. U.S. Army Air Force Sergeant White S. Goings Jr. is an exception. Thanks to modern technology and ongoing efforts by the U.S. government, more and more American servicemen and women are at last returning to our shores and their families.

ELWOOD - The Robb Ranch, homesteaded in February 1874 by William Kyle Robb, received the 150-Year Heritage Farm Family Award at the Gosper County Fair last Saturday. Robert Gillard, the grandfather of founder William Robb, lived on the ranch land before it was officially dubbed the Robb Ranch.

July 25, 2024 -- The University of Wyoming lists the following students from Nebraska on the 2024 spring semester academic Dean’s and Dean’s Freshman Honor Rolls. The honor rolls consist of regularly enrolled undergraduates above freshman standing who earned a 3.4 or better grade-point average, and freshmen who have earned a 3.25 or better grade-point average.

LINCOLN, NE (07/24/2024)-- Kolby Hunt of Beaver City is among 114 Husker undergraduates who have been awarded stipends by the University of Nebraska- Lincoln to participate in research with a faculty mentor this summer.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu recently came to Washington to address Congress. The Prime Minister’s remarks were an important reminder of the mutual interests our nations share. Supporting Israel means an end to the barbaric terrorist group Hamas. Supporting Israel is the best way to secure the release of the remaining hostages, including American citizens. Supporting Israel is also the best way to stop Iran’s dream of imposing radical Islam on the world. “For Iran, Israel is first, America is next,” the Prime Minister said. He’s right, and it’s one reason why I will always stand with Israel.
