Arapahoe teacher named Art Educator of the Year

“I was really, really excited and relieved to know my hard work doesn’t go unnoticed,” says Arapahoe-Holbrook Public School K – 12 art teacher Ashley Picquet of being named the Marvin Spomer Novice Art Educator of the Year. “I feel like I deserve it, because I do work hard.” Ashley received her award last Friday, October 11 during the Nebraska Art Teachers Association Fall Conference in McCook.

Gosper County Sheriff resigns

Gosper County Sheriff Jesse Naputi has resigned his position effective October 15, 2024. Naputi’s term was to run until January 2027. Naputi submitted his resignation to Gosper County on August 28 during their meeting. A special meeting was held on September 3 to accept the resignation.
