Cambridge City Council approves 2023-33 Comprehensive Master Plan

Cambridge City Council met for a Public Hearing for the Comprehensive Master Plan 2023-2033 at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, November 4, 2024. After the Pledge of Allegiance and the Open meeting law announcement, Jason Combs from Miller & Associates presented the Comprehensive Master Plan. Mayor David Gunderson brought up that some of the maps in the plan seem to be older maps of Cambridge. Maps will be updated, and new maps will be sent to swap out the incorrect versions. There was no discussion from the public, and the hearing was closed.

Flower Shops will collect tons of food for charity

(SIOUX FALLS, SD) Florists across central United States will gather over 20 tons of food for those in need November 11-16, 2024. Dubbed “Caring Rose Week,” the stores are deeply discounting bouquets of one dozen roses and accepting canned goods as partial payment.

Beaver City approves 1 and 6 year street plan

BEAVER CITY –Following a public hearing that was held during the regular board meeting, the city council passed the 1- & 6-Year Street Plan Resolution with revisions. David Blau from Miller and Associates was on hand to answer questions.

Cambridge Memorial Hospital Association Annual Meeting Nov. 20

The Cambridge Memorial Hospital Association Meeting will be held on Wednesday, November 20, 2024 at 5:00 p.m. at the Heritage Plaza at 1205 Nelson Street in Cambridge, Nebraska. The annual meeting is open to all association members. Anyone is eligible to become a member. Dues are $10 and can be paid online at http://bit.ly/TVHSDues; in person at Tri Valley Health System; mailed to PO Box 488, Cambridge, NE 69022; or paid at the door the day of the meeting. Election of officers will occur at this meeting.

Family Caregiver month

National Family Caregivers Month is observed every November, and the Southwest Nebraska Public Health Department (SWNPHD) wants to take a moment to recognize and appreciate the family caregivers who are taking care of a loved one with a chronic illness or disability.
It was a busy day at the Eustis Senior Center as they sold delicious noodles at the 41st Annul Eustis Craft Show and Business Expo on Saturday, November 2.
