Arapahoe 5th and 6th graders joined students from Cambridge and Southern Valley to participate in the Furnas County 4-H Healthy Habits Program last week. Students rotated through six stations learning about making healthy nutritional choices.

Cambridge City Council met in regular session on Monday, March 3, 2025, at 6:30 p.m. All council members were present for the meeting.

Medicine Valley Elementary Quiz Bowl Team placed third at the Southwest Quiz Bowl meet .

The Arapahoe Elementary Quiz Bowl team competed in Alma last week. They had a fantastic day, going 3-1 and earned 3rd place.

Nebraska 4-H offers several project areas for youth ages 5-18. Every county fair boasts their 4-H livestock shows. Baked goods, wood working, and creative project abound in the static exhibit hall. One often overlooked 4-H project is citizenship. Citizenship is precious and should never be taken for granted.

Thelma Ann (Riepe) Sprague was born on October 25, 1933 to George and Thelma Riepe of Arapahoe, NE. Thelma passed away on February 21, 2025 at the age of 91.

Matthew Charles Schack was born July 14, 1938 returned to the loving embrace of his Heavenly Father on February 21, 2025. Loving husband of Joyce Ann Schack and beloved father of five children Alan Schack – MI, Victoria Child-MD (Ricardo Cespedes), Jennifer Schack-HI (Philip Simmons), Pamela Vlahakis-MI (Steve Vlahakis), and Jonathan Schack-MI (Renu Schack).
