Body Warmer weather has arrived and with it comes ticks. Southwest Nebraska Public Health Department (SWNPHD) would like to remind everyone to stay safe from tick bites that can spread disease to humans.

Body Food Bank for the Heartland offers semiannual grant opportunities to our partner agencies. These funds are intended to assist our partners in serving neighbors more effectively or increasing their capacity. Partners can apply for anything from shelving to carts, freezers, etc.

Autumn Deterding recognized for spring 2025 term honors

Body SEWARD, NE (05/22/2025)-- Concordia University, Nebraska recently named 241 students to its honors list for the spring 2025 semester. Students who earn a 3.90 GPA or higher while also completing at least 12 credit hours during the semester qualify for this list.

Roadway paint striping will begin in District 7

Body May 22, 2025 (McCook, Neb.) — Weather permitting, roadway paint striping work will begin May 27 in District 7, according to the Nebraska Department of Transportation. Contractor Services, Inc., of North Platte, is the contractor for this project.
