Cambridge City Council met in regular session on Monday, January 5, 2026, at 6:30 p.m. All council members were present for the meeting. After the Pledge of Allegiance and the Open Meeting Law Announcement, the council approved the consent agenda, which included the minutes from the previous City Council Meeting, the claims, the Library Board meeting minutes, a SDL for Town Talk for March 23, 2026 for the Pheasants Forever Banquet, as well as a SDL for HoJo’s for February 14, 2026 for the Chamber Banquet.

The Merle Jane Harpst award was established in 1998 to honor the late Merle Jane Harpst and her 20 plus years as an employee and administrator at Cambridge Memorial Hospital and Tri Valley Health System. The award is organized and presented by the Tri Valley Medical Foundation.
