ARAPAHOE - The Cambridge boys basketball team improved to 11-3 since the holiday break and 13-7 overall with a 61-28 victory at Arapahoe Tuesday. Cambridge scored 24 points in each of the first two quarters and built a 48-11 halftime lead.

The victory was the 19th of the season for the Warriors, who improved to 19-4 while dropping the Trojans to 16-5.
The Maywood/Hayes Center boys basketball team broke a three-game losing streak last week, earning a win against subdistrict opponent Hitchcock County. The week started with a trip to Hershey.
ELWOOD - Playing their second-consecutive game against each other, the Cambridge boys basketball team captured a 66-33 victory at Hi-Line Thursday. The Bulls led after a methodical first quarter, 1110, but the Trojans offense exploded over the next 15 minutes, building a 34-16 lead at the break and a 56-23 lead through three quarters.
In a battle of the D1-11 subdistrict leaders, Arapahoe’s girls basketball team beat Maywood/Hayes Center in the consolation game of the RPAC tournament. MHC still holds the right to host the subdistrict Feb.
ARAPAHOE - Arapahoe finished a half-point short of the crown at its home invite Saturday, the annual Darrell Barnes Invite. Hitchcock County took the team title with 115 points while Arapahoe finished second with 114.5.
Area girls wrestling teams will compete at district tournaments this weekend in hopes of qualifying for the Class B State Tournament in Omaha. Hi-Line and Southwest will travel to Ogallala for the District B-4 Tournament, which begins Friday afternoon and continues Saturday morning.
