BEAVER CITY – The city council held their regular meeting on August 1, 2022. After the approval of the minutes of the last meeting and the claims as presented, the council discussed a few agenda items before adjourning within the hour.

The council discussed options to keep the dump locked, as there are missing keys. The purpose of the site is for yard waste, but there have been instances of it being used for other purposes.

Barry Lee from Hendley made an inquiry about purchasing a trailer that is parked at the site. It was determined that the city will first have to write a letter to the owner of the trailer before the property is sold.

In other business, the council discussed the need for RV Park signs and updating the RV dump station with a septic system. Deputy Clerk Terri McMichael reported on adjustments for the new water meter system.

The only additional action taken by the council was postponing action on a property at 920 3 rd street owned by Mike Kelly. The insurance adjuster has not made a report at this time.

The next regular council meeting will be held on August 15, 2022. City council meeting are open to the public.
