Members of the EHS Cheer Squad are Danielle Schultz, Nicole Redwine, Lindsay Monter, Amanda Haussler, Veronica Friest, Emily Wolfe, Ms. Fagot, Mikahla Nielsen, Heather Buettner, Tess Blivin, Tess Mak, Reggi Serrano, Shanna Robb, and Jamie. Forty-eight applications requesting $5,165,862 were considered for the 2000 allocation in January, 2001.

Phyllis Hanson is the school cook for District 4 rural school just north of Elwood. Hanson cooks for twenty students and teachers each day. Favorite meals for children are pizza, tacos, and chili.

Doris and Kenneth Bellamy sold over 120 John Deere Two Cylinder tractors October 6 in Elwood. They had around 350 registered to buyers from over 23 states.
