Southwest made 22 points at Arapahoe Friday night but was unable to hold the Warriors as they made 46 points.
On Friday last week, Indianola firemen came to school at 9:00 a.m. for an all school assembly. They brought bags of goodies and fire hats for lower grades and glow in the dark bracelets for the upper grades.

Assigned two year terms for Red Willow County Planning Board were Mike Daffer of Danbury and Mike Sides of Bartley, one year term Sue Doak and Bob Wilcox, Jr. and three year terms Jan Gilbert, Dan Wallen, and Leigh Hoyt.
Brandon Kisker of Indianola is one of 2,282 FFA members in 2000 to receive the American FFA Degree.

Pair of all-staters from Republican Valley High School in Indianola has been reunited on the Chadron State College volleyball team this fall. Maggie Ryan is a sophomore and Rosie Boehm is a junior. The Building Block Pre-School held an Open House in their remodeled facilities on Monday, October 1. Owner and operator, Ann Wright, is a Republican Valley High School.

Angie Puelz was the guest speaker for the GFWF Federated Woman’s Club Monday, October 6, 1980. She spoke of a book by Nebraska author, Marie Sandoz, giving a report on “Old Jules”.

Installation of officers for Indianola Council 2693 of the Knights of Columbus was held October 4, 1970. Verlyn Saladen, Deputy Knight, Don Reiners, John Walz, Herman Stritt, Dick Rayer, Ed Budke, District Deputy, Bernard Walz, Louie Carney, Robert Buschkoetter, Grand Knight, and Don Ogorzolka.
The Women’s Missionary Society of the Church of Christ made as its project this year to can fruits and vegetables for the Cookston Hills Christian Home at Oberlin, KS.

The Indianola Federated Woman’s Club gave the play “Jennie June” directed by Mrs. Roy Mustion and directed by Mrs. Levi Burton, Wednesday September 5. The Indianola Chiefs bottled up by penalties, eked out their fourth straight win 12-6.
