Thanksgiving celebrations this year were like most every other day, at home with immediate family.

Frances Warner and Susan and Jay Wyatt enjoyed a traditional Thanksgiving meal of Turkey and Roast Beef with all the trimmings.

Frances told again what a fun time she had for her 9oth birthday back in August. She received a total of 64 greeting cards and she enjoyed every one of them. In these COVID times, we need to focus on the little things that bring happiness, like sending greeting cards. I have had my heart warmed many times recently with notes, colored pictures, etc. from my grandkids and great-grands.

Frances also told of receiving a phone call from Fran Helt Case. Fran isn’t doing real good. Her daughter, Shanda, is staying with her to help with her care.

Virginia and Ron Grafton were joined by Peggy Grafton and Lynda and Ashley Fitzsimmons for Thanksgiving day. They had their favorite meal, Chicken and noodles.

I fixed a traditional turkey dinner for 3. Me, Myself, and I. I did share it via Zoom with the Susan and Greg Kempel family who were at their dining table in North Dakota. I also phone visited with a number of other of our kids. A different kind of Thanksgiving, but it was still a good day.

Saturday was a most beautiful day! I, and I’m sure many others, spent it outdoors putting up Christmas decorations. I got new lights on last year’s Christmas clearance, so everything was different in putting them up this year. It’s nothing specular, but I like the result. If you’re in the neighborhood, drive by and honk.

We’ve really had some beautiful days. Some of the mornings are pretty chilly, but the bright sun warms up the afternoons. If Mother Nature can’t see fit to send us some moisture, at least she’s giving us some nice days to enjoy.

Happy Birthday to Rose Day on December 19th, Carl Rae on the 21st, Doug Harrison on the 22nd, and Kathy Quaduor on the 23rd.
