Vaccines for Children Public Clinics in november

Southwest Nebraska Public Health Department (SWNPHD) will be offering Vaccines for Children at public clinics in November. Anyone two months of age and older are invited to get their vaccinations. Due to the continued spread of COVID-19 in Nebraska, a face covering will be required for anyone 2 years of age and older. Locations include:

Hayes Center-Tuesday, November 2nd, 4:00-5:00 pm at Hayes Center Grade School Cafeteria.

Curtis - Monday, November 8th, 4:30-5:30 pm at Medicine Valley High School.

Trenton - Tuesday, November 16th, 3:30-4:30 pm at Hitchcock County High School Library.

Ogallala – Thursday, November 18th, 12:30-1:30 pm Mountain Time at Prairie View School.

McCook – daily Monday-Friday, 8:00-4:00 pm based upon the nurse availability, at 404 West 10th Street (one block north of Arby’s).

Other locations: check with your local healthcare provider or local pharmacy.

Flu shots will be available at all clinics. Flu shots are recommended for all individuals aged 6 months and older.

November clinics are usually very busy. SWNPHD encourages those interested in vaccination call to schedule an appointment. Walk-ins are welcome, but priority will be given to those with a scheduled appointment. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the following precautions will be in place: social distancing of 6 feet between households; masks are required; limit the number of extra family members at the clinics where possible.

Children with no insurance, under-insured, Medicaid, Native American or Native Alaskan qualify for state-funded vaccine. Adults who are uninsured or under-insured may also qualify for state funded vaccine. Vaccines for Children is funded in whole with federal and DHHS funds. Call the office for qualifications at 308-345-4223. Both statefunded and private vaccines are available at these clinics. Insurance billing and cash or credit card payment options are available to those who do not qualify for the state-funded vaccine.
