Subscription rates to increase in 2022
Annual subscription rates to the Valley Voice newspaper will increase effective January 1, 2022.
The increase will take the cost of in-state subscriptions from $36 for a 12 months to $45 and out-of-state subscriptions from $40 to $50. Digital-only subscriptions will remain $36 per year and can be purchased at valleyvoicene.com. The cost of newsstand copies will also remain $1.
The rise in subscription rates is a reflection of rising postage, which is the primary means of delivery for the Valley Voice. The last rate increase from CAMAS Publishing occurred in 2016 when in-state subscriptions went from $32 to $36 for the Cambridge Clarion. The price of a stamp at the time was 47 cents. In last August, that price rose to 58 cents.
The newspaper had absorbed six postage increases without raising subscription rates and in some cases periodical postage increased more than the price of stamps.
Notice is served in advance to allow readers to take advantage of the final two weeks of the current rates. Orders can be completed by stopping at the paper’s main office in Cambridge, the office located inside the Heartland Partners office in Arapahoe, inside Village Mercantile in Oxford, by phone or online at valleyvoicene.com
