As I write this, it is the first day of Winter. With a predicted high temp of 56 degrees! That should pretty well take care of the rest of our snow. Mighty welcome snow! Here on The Hill, we received about 4”. Sure is good to see a little mud. The Christmas forecast is calling for more nice weather, which in normal years, would be good news for travelers. Thanks to COVID, there won’t be much travel this year.
Karen Brown will be making a move. Housing has become av alliable for her in McCook and she plans to be moving soon. She will miss living in small town Lebanon, her home for many years. But she is looking forward to the convenience and safety offered in her new surroundings.
Sandra Nicholson’s great-grandbaby count has increased. Two at a time! Twins Emma Grace and Asher Clay were born on December 2nd to Eric and Elizabeth Aubushon. Emma weighed in at 5 lbs. 5 oz. and Asher at 6 lbs. 7 oz. They had to spend their first couple of weeks in NICU but are home now and doing well. They were welcomed home by their 18-month old brother. Duane and Carla (Rollmann) Aubushon are among the proud grandparents.
The wonder of this year’s Christmas season in enhanced by the appearance of the “Christmas Star”. May this phenomenon be a reminder of the miracle of the star that beamed so bright when the Christ Child was born. As we celebrate that precious event, may the Blessings of Peace, Love and Joy surround you now and throughout the year.
Happy Birthday to Richard Macy on New Year’s Day, Marlin Springer, Shawn Pew and Shelly (Springer) Macfee on January 4th and Bill Ellis and Stephen Harrison on the 7th.
