Hopes were high for a rain on Easter Sunday, thinking that the old adage, if it rains on Easter Sunday it will rain for the next seven Sundays, might hold true. Well, it didn’t rain but we can still keep the prayer bones polished for rain any day of the week. A full week of slow rain would be perfect.
Easter gatherings this year were a bit more back to normal and saw more families joining to celebrate the day.
Suzi Martin is spending a few days on the farm with her dad, Dick Martin. They were Easter Sunday guests of Bob and Liane Martin
Frances Warner is getting stronger. Lots of PT is helping her regain her strength. She really enjoyed a visit from Jeanine and Bill Royer of Columbus one day last week. Jay and Susan Wyatt joined her for Easter dinner.
This week looks to be a busy one for Ed and Ruth Ruf so they spent a quiet Easter Sunday at home.
Ron Grafton fixed Easter dinner for Virginia and Peggy. Steve, LaDonna and Donnalea Harrison were Easter guests of Doug, Deanna, and Stephan Harrison for a BBQ dinner. The Bill and Julie Ellis family were Easter dinner guests of John and Pam Herron.
Jerry and Rozanne Walters and Roger McGraw went to Hershey for Easter dinner with Jerry’s folks, Eldon and Janice Walters.
John and Julie Haag and girls were Easter weekend guests of Steve and Shari Haag. They were joined for Easter dinner by the Mindy and Brock Rogers family, the Amanda and Aaron Peterson family and Liz Haag.
I enjoyed having Rob, Colleen, and Naomi Michaelis here for the weekend. Not that McCook is all that noisy, but they enjoy the peace and quiet out here on the farm. We joined the Steve and Shari family Sunday afternoon.
Be sure to take a country drive and go by the corner of Roads 709 and 404 to see Roger McGraw’s latest hay bale art creation.
Memorial services for former Lebanon resident, Judy Bethel will be held Saturday, April 23rd. Interment will be in Mountain View Memorial Park Cemetery in Cheyenne, Wyoming. She died on March 27, 2022, at the age of 80. Her husband, Don Bethel died in 2014.
The Community Potluck Supper will be this Sunday, April 24th. Hosts will be Dale and Roberta Blake and Myrna Haag. Time and place are the same, 6:00 at the Lebanon Legion Hall. Pass the word.
Happy Birthday to Karen Brown on April 24th, Rozanne Walters and Blake Macy on the 26th, Kaitlynne Ellis on the 27th, Jill Fitzsimmons on the 29th.
