She was very active in the Saint Paul Episcopal Church, loved sewing, doing crafts with Paul and of course shopping.

Several years after Paul passed she moved into Prairie Pines in Arapahoe, NE. She loved the family-like atmosphere there. When increased health problems occurred, she moved into the Good Samaritan Center in Arapahoe. Her final home was at the Cheyenne County Village, St. Francis, KS to be closer to her daughter.
