The Bartley Village board met briefly for their first meeting of the new year. Newly appointed Chairman Ed Cochran called the 7 p.m. meeting to order.

Cori Hagge was appointed to represent Bartley and serve as an ACE Board Member.

The board approved the minutes of the December 8, 2020 meeting including the claims to date.

A vote was taken to remove Chuck Tines from the State Bank of Bartley Accounts. Vice Chairman, Brandon Brat will be added to the village accounts.

Jim Foster shared the maintenance report. With the mild weather Foster was able to burn the dump and smooth out the alleys. As well as clean the lift station. Foster will be making a new sunshade for the shelter in the park.

To close the meeting Jim Foster was honored by the Burton Bend VFW post 9357. Post 9357 became aware of the hard work and dedication of Foster to make sure there are always American Flags displayed along the highway in Bartley. To help with Foster’s efforts the VFW donated a number of American Flags so older flags could be retired when necessary. The VFW also stated they will continue to make sure Foster always has a supply of American Flags.

With nothing further to discuss the meeting was adjourned at 7:24 p.m. The next meeting for the Bartley Village Board will be February 9, 2021 at 7 p.m.
