BARBARA K. GAGNA

Barbara Kay Gagna, 76, of Denver, Colorado passed away unexpectedly on May 19, 2022 after 2 recent hospitalizations due to heart issues. She is preceded in death by her husband Larry Gagna, her parents Harvey and Lorraine Rupe from Cambridge, Nebraska and her brother Harvey Rupe Junior.

She is survived and will be dearly missed by her daughter Paula Stanton and son-in-law, Eric Smith, daughter Kim Bonfiglio and son-in-law, Joe Bonfiglio, daughter Robin Stanton, step-son Lee Gagna and daughter-in-law, Teresa Gagna and her five adored grandchildren Brock, Dominick, Catera, Joseph and Michael. She also leaves her cherished sisters Peggy Whisler, Ginny Rauch and brother-in-law Ken Rauch, as well as numerous extended family and friends.

Barb was born in Cambridge, NE and graduated with the class of 1964. She worked for over 30 years at Presbyterian/ St. Lukes Medical Center advancing in her career from Human Resources Clerk to the Executive Administrative Assistant to the Senior leaders in the Administration Suite. She was everyone’s #1 fan, cheering on everything from family softball games, race kart driving and every sport under the sun. She could always be seen on the sidelines or in those rock-hard bleachers with a smile on her face.

Barb also enjoyed traveling, especially by cruise ship, and has been to England, France, Italy, Greece, Alaska, Hawaii… but her all-time favorite vacation destination was always Disneyland.

A memorial will be held at Mount Olivet Chapel, 12801 W 44th Ave, Wheat Ridge, CO 80033 on Monday June 13 ^th at 2:00 pm, with a small private reception to follow.
