Funeral Services for Branda K. Wohlgemuth was held on Friday, January 8, 2021, at 10:30 a.m. at the Trinity Evangelical Free Church in Holdrege, NE with Pastor Daren Popple officiating. Interment followed at the Moses Hill Cemetery, rural Loomis, NE.

Due to health concerns, regarding the COVID-19 pandemic; current CDC and Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services guidelines for Faith-Based Services was followed. The funeral service was livestreamed at the NelsonBauer Funeral Home Facebook page.

Branda Kay Wohlgemuth, 6o years of age, of rural Holdrege, died on Monday, January 4, 2021, at the Phelps Memorial Health Center, in Holdrege, surrounded her by family. Branda was born on March 16, 1960, at Kearney, Nebraska, the eldest of two children, born to Morris “Mike” and Pearl E. (Moon Smidt) Lind. She attended the R4 Country School in Phelps County and then attended and graduated from Holdrege High School with the class of 1979. pursued higher education and obtained a degree in business from Grand Island Business College.

On January 4, 1980, Branda was united in marriage to David Wohlgemuth at the Holcomb Evangelical Free Church by Pastor John Herman. This union was blessed with two sons, Morgan and Colby. The family made their home on a farm south of Funk, NE, where they engaged in farming.

Branda was a member of the Fridhem Lutheran Church, and was active with the Fridhem Lutheran Church school for many years and enjoyed the time spent with the children.

Branda loved spending time with her family at the lake; baking, and cooking; enjoyed being the “family genealogist”; and especially loved being the family caregiver. Dave and Branda enjoyed many trips to the mountains.

Branda was preceded in death by: her mother, Pearl; father in-law and mother-in-law, Charles and Bonita Wohlgemuth; and nephew, Kellen Wohlgemuth.

She leaves to celebrate her life; her husband, David Wohlgemuth of rural Holdrege; sons, Morgan Wohlgemuth and his wife, LeAnna of rural Holdrege; and Colby Wohlgemuth and his wife, Brooke of Holdrege; three grandchildren: Gage, and Cord; and Madisyn; her father, Morris “Mike” Lind and his wife, Karen of Kearney; her brother, Brad Lind and his wife, Lynn of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; four brothers-in-law: Daniel Wohlgemuth of Leander, TX; Donald Wohlgemuth and his wife, Brenda of Holdrege; Daron Wohlgemuth and his wife, Jacquline of Overland Park, KS; and Delwin Wohlgemuth and his wife, Ellen of Salina, KS; two sisters-in-law: Denise Larsen and her husband, Douglas of Lincoln, NE; and DeAnn Watermeier and her husband, Nathan of Lincoln; a step-brother, Brandon Batt of Kearney; along with many nieces and nephews; other cousins; relatives; and friends.

Visitation was held on Thursday, January 7, 2021, from 5:00 p.m. 7:00 p.m. at the NelsonBauer Funeral Home in Holdrege. Face coverings were required.

A memorial has been established in Branda’s honor, and kindly suggested to the Nebraska Prairie Museum; or the Fridhem Lutheran Church - Sunday school.
