CAROLYN L. SAYER

Carolyn L. Sayer, 84, died Monday, November 22, 2021 at Presbyterian Manor in Newton, Kansas.

She was born January 20, 1937 in Cambridge, Furnas County, Nebraska to Lloyd Clinton and Emma Ruth (Stephens) Harding. Carolyn started school at District 70 and attended through the 8th grade. She then attended Cambridge High School, graduating with the Class of 1955.

On July 3, 1955 she married Donald D. Sayer at Cambridge, NE. They moved for Don’s construction jobs, living in Nebraska, Colorado, South Dakota and finally in Kansas, and they retired in Hutchinson, KS. Don preceded her in death October 15, 2021.

She was preceded in death by her husband Don, her parents Lloyd and Ruth Harding, son-in-law Tim Schauf and brother -in-law Bob Phillips.

She is survived by daughters: Rhonda (Mike) Casey and Debbie Schauf, all of Halstead, KS; brother, Don (Annie) Harding, Cambridge, NE; sisters, Marilyn (Larry) Kubik, and Judy Phillips, Cambridge, NE; 4 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Private family graveside services were held at Fairview Cemetery in Halstead, KS.
