CHARLOTTE F. SCHUTTE
A Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Charlotte F. Schutte will be held on Friday, March 18, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at the Nelson-Bauer Funeral Home in Holdrege, Nebraska with Samuel Schutte, Charlotte’s brother-in-law, officiating. Interment will follow at the Prairie Home Cemetery in Holdrege, Nebraska with officiating at the graveside being led by Nelson G. Schutte, Charlotte’s grandson.
Charlotte Schutte, 78 years of age, formerly of Holdrege passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, March 9, 2022. At the time of her passing, Charlotte was in the presence of her immediate family who dearly loved her.
Charlotte was born in Arapahoe, Nebraska on October 17, 1943 the second of four children born to Henry and Mabel (Lord) Stagemeyer. On December 19, 1963, Charlotte was united in marriage to Norman Schutte in Arapahoe. Norman and Charlotte lived in Holdrege where they raised their two sons, Jeffrey and Philip. Charlotte was a longtime employee of Becton-Dickinson until her retirement and husband, Norman, was a local business owner until his death in 1988. After retiring from Becton-Dickinson, Charlotte relocated to Seward, NE.
Charlotte is preceded in death by her husband, Norman Schutte; parents, Henry and Mabel Stagemeyer; one sister, Reata Stagemeyer; mother and father-in-law, Dorothy Stearn and her husband William; brother-in-law, Bernes Schutte; sisters-in-law: Yvonne Meyer and her husband, William; Sue Stagemeyer; and Linda Schutte.
Charlotte is survived by, her two sons: Jeffrey Schutte and his wife, Elizabeth; Philip Schutte and his wife, Crystal; six grandchildren; Jeffrey’s children, Sophia Godine and her husband, Kohls; Andrew Schutte and his wife, Courtney; Nelson Schutte; and Philip’s children, Hannah Schutte, Melanie Schutte and Adilynn Gimple-Schutte; her eldest sister, Priscilla Sims and her husband, Jerry; and her younger brother, Henry J. Stagemeyer; brother-in-law, Samuel Schutte; sister-in-law, Deanna Schutte; along with a host of other relatives and friends.
Charlotte was a loving and generous mother, a faithful and supportive wife and a grandmother who loved and cherished her grandchildren. Charlotte loved time she could spend with her family and extended family. To her sons, Jeffrey and Philip, Charlotte was a continual source of love, peace, and comfort.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, March 17, 2022 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with family greeting friends from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Nelson-Bauer Funeral Home in Holdrege.
