A Memorial Service for DeAnne L. Bose will be held on Thursday, October 28, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. at the Evangelical Free Church in Oxford, Nebraska with Pastor Wes Holen officiating. A private family interment will be held prior to the service at the Carter Cemetery at rural Harlan County, Nebraska.

DeAnne Lynette Bose, 73 years of age, of Oxford, passed away, on October 20, 2021, at the Bryan Medical Center – West Campus in Lincoln, Nebraska. DeAnne was born in Holdrege, Nebraska on November 26, 1947, the second of six children, born to Dean and Marjorie (Olson) Bose. She received her primary education from the Carter Elementary School through the eighth grade and then attended and graduated from Oxford High School, with the class of 1965. She pursued higher education and received a Bachelor’s Degree in Education from Trinity College in Deerfield, Illinois.
Following her education, DeAnne started her long tenure of 46 years working in the Cozad Public School District in Cozad, Nebraska as a third and fourth grade teacher. On May 20, 2015 DeAnne retired from the same school she started her career at. She had a special love for teaching and her students.
DeAnne enjoyed traveling, gardening, especially her flower garden, eating out, shopping, attending the state fair, photography, and craft shows. She had a big heart for animals and definitely loved her cats. She was a member of the Evangelical Free Church in Oxford.
Besides her parents, DeAnne was preceded in death by, her sister, Sally Bose; and brother, Roger Bose.
DeAnne is survived by her three siblings: Neal Bose and his wife, Darlene of Nashville, Tennessee; Keith Bose of Orleans; Sheri Funk and her husband, Norm of Norfolk, Nebraska; eight nieces and nephews: Jeremy Bose; Jennifer Hunter and her husband, Chad; Greta Mitchell and her husband, Michael; Tara Smith and her husband Adam all of Nashville; Eric Funk and his wife, Tona of Malcolm, Nebraska; Shanna Winer and her husband, Brad of New City, New York; Kristi Burmeister and her husband, Brett of Fairway, Kansas; Alisa Via-Reque of Dallas, Texas; 12 great nieces and nephews; her beloved cat Zippy and a host of other relatives and friends.
There will be no visitation.
A memorial has been established in DeAnne’s honor, and kindly suggested to the family for later designation.
