DENNIS L. “TEX” HUXOLL

Memorial services for Tex Huxoll, age 79, of Bloomfield, Nebraska will be 10:30 a.m.

Friday, June 20, 2025, at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Bloomfield.

Reverend Terry Krueger will officiate, with burial in Bloomfield City Cemetery.

Visitation will be Thursday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the church.

Brockhaus Funeral Home in Bloomfield is in charge of arrangements.

Tex died Wednesday, June 11, 2025, at Avera Sacred Heart Hospital in Yankton, South Dakota.

Dennis L. “Tex” Huxoll, son of Arthur and Bernice (Riepe) Huxoll, was born February 13, 1946, in Scottsbluff, Nebraska. He graduated from Oxford High School in Oxford, Nebraska in 1965. In 1978, Tex graduated from Reisch World Wide College of Auctioneering in Iowa.

Tex was united in marriage to Janice Eckmann on August 15, 1986, in Custer, South Dakota. They were blessed with one daughter, Elizabeth.

Tex lived in Wahoo, David City, and Bloomfield, Nebraska throughout his lifetime.

He was an auctioneer for tool sale companies and worked for Aurora Cooperative Elevator Company in David City.

He was a member of St.

Mark’s Lutheran Church in Bloomfield.

Tex is survived by his wife, Janice Huxoll of Bloomfield; daughter, Elizabeth (Shannon) Skeels of Hampshire, Illinois; children from his previous marriage, Diana (Mike) Ritzel of Gleason, Wisconsin, Christina (Tom) Remmenga of Bertrand, Nebraska, Eddie (Erica) Huxoll of Sutton, Nebraska, and Robert (Rose) Huxoll of San Diego, California; 13 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; sisters, Doris and Noreen; numerous sisters and brothers-in-law; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Bernice Huxoll; brothers, Larry and Maurice; parents-inlaw, Gilbert and Norma Eckmann; and a greatgranddaughter.
