Dylan Michael Skeen, 29 years of age, of Holdrege, passed away, on April 27, 2021, at CHI Health Good Samaritan in Kearney, Nebraska. Dylan was born on January 9, 1992, the youngest of two children, born to Sean and Wendy (Howlett) Skeen. Dylan attended and graduated from Trinity High School in Euless, Texas, with the class of 2011. While in high school, he found an interest for the German culture; he talked about everything German and while in the store would look to see if the item was made in Germany.

Following his education, Dylan moved to Grand Island, Nebraska. It was while Dylan worked at Mosaic, that he met Krystin Wilder and on May 30, 2015, they were united in marriage in Axtell, Nebraska and to this union one child was born: Wesley. The couple made their home in Holdrege.

Dylan enjoyed fishing, playing Xbox, and cheering on his favorite football team, the San Francisco 49ers.

Dylan will be remembered for his infectious smile and his ability to talk, when you rode in the car with him, he would turn down the radio so he could have a conversation with you. He had a heart of gold and loved to make people happy by putting you before himself. More than anything, Dylan loved his son Wesley.

Dylan was preceded in death by: his maternal Grandmother, Linda Cimity (Nama); two Grandfathers: John Skeen; and John Howlett; one uncle, Marcelino Fuentes; and mother-in-law, Sonya Wilder.

Dylan is survived by his wife, Krystin Skeen of Holdrege; son, Wesley Skeen of Holdrege; his father, Sean Skeen and his wife, Debra of Fort Worth, Texas; his mother, Wendy Skeen; his sister, Ashley Skeen; grandma, Suzanne Skeen of Lancaster, California; grandpa, Kevin Cimity of Lakeview, Oregon; brother-in-law, Trevor Wilder and his wife, Tabitha of Omaha, Nebraska; nieces and nephews: Dominic and Calista Francis, and Amelia and Callen Wilder; father-in-law, Brian Wilder and his wife, Sarah of Bertrand, Nebraska; and a host of other relatives and friends.

A memorial has been established in Dylan’s honor, and kindly suggested to the family for later designation.
