A Memorial Service for Geraldine “Geri” Amen will be held on Monday, June 1, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. at the First Baptist Church, Oxford, Nebraska, with Mr. Neal McInturf officiating. A private inurnment will be held at the Oxford Cemetery.

Geri Amen, 72 years of age, of rural Oxford, Nebraska, passed away on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, at Bryan Health West in Lincoln, Nebraska. Geri was born on May 22, 1953, in Oxford, to Carl and Virginia “Ginny” (Flynn) Eman.

She attended Oxford Public Schools, graduating with the class of 1971. On January 3, 1970, Geri was united in marriage to Terry Amen at the old Baptist Church in Oxford. The couple was blessed with three children: Mike, Scott, and Teresa. Geri began working at Becton-Dickinson and retired after 30 years. Following her retirement, she cared for her parents.

She was a member of the Oxford Baptist Church and president of the Oxford American Legion Auxiliary.

Geri enjoyed going to craft shows, baking, sewing, quilting, attending concerts and attending her grandchildren’s events and activities.

Her family was the heart of her life, and she deeply treasured the time with her loved ones. Geri was preceded in death by: her parents, Carl and Virginia Eman; father-in-law and mother-in-law: Melvin and Elvera (Titkemeier) Amen; brothers-inlaw and sisters-in-law: Rolland (Carol) Amen; Alan Amen; Burdette (Carol) Amen; and Joyce (Jack) Wilder; niece: Amy Amen; and an aunt, Louise Friedman.

Survivors include: her husband, Terry Amen of rural Oxford; their children: Mike Amen of Alda, Nebraska; Scott Amen and his wife, Carmen of Verona, Wisconsin; Teresa Barnett and her husband, Matt of Elm Creek, Nebraska; four grandchildren: Karly Bruhl and her husband, Josh of Minden, Nebraska; Cole Amen and fiancée, Jaylee Daniels of Kearney; Evan Amen of Hastings, Nebraska; and Lexy Amen of Hastings; one greatgrandson, Weston Bruhl; her siblings: Carla Bienhoff and her husband, David of Ottawa, Kansas; Glenn Eman and his wife, Rose of Pensacola, Florida; and Virgil Eman of Oxford; special friend, Mary Eman of Kearney; cousin, Lori Friedman of Colorado; brothers-inlaw: LaRoyce Amen and his wife, Donna of Holdrege; and Don Amen and his wife, Linda of Roca, Nebraska; sisters-inlaw: Marilyn Novotny of Holdrege; Cheryl Edwards of Holdrege; and Lori Ott and her husband, John of Lincoln; sister-in-law, Betty Amen of Onawa, Iowa; along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends. There will not be a visitation, viewing or memorial book signing the evening prior to the service. Cremation was chosen.
