Jim was the Fire Chief for the Bartley Fire Department for 20+ years.

He was on the Bartley Village Board and served several terms as Mayor.

He liked to work on cars, weld, shoot off reworks, play rock music or whatever his mood was at the time, but most of all enjoyed family life with his kids and grandkids hanging out. He was not a stranger to anyone and could tell you lots of stories. Jim loved his dogs and treated them like his children: Bluedog (Ozzy which his trucking company is named after), Jack, Bane, and Zeus.

He was preceded in death by his best friend Ozzy, his dad, and an infant sister, Heather.
