Jay Lynn Krueger, 68 years of age, of Kearney, Nebraska, passed away on Sunday, January 23, 2022, at his home in Kearney. Jay was born June 21, 1953, in Cheyenne County, Nebraska, and was adopted by Elmer Krueger. He received his primary education from Sidney Public Schools, graduating with the class of 1971. He pursued higher education from Western Nebraska Community College.

On December 13, 1983, Jay was united in marriage to Judith E. Woodring in Reno, Nevada. The couple made their home in Arapahoe, Nebraska. Jay drove to Cummins Sales and Service in Kearney where he worked as a Diesel Mechanic for over 35 years.

Jay and Judy attended the Methodist Church in Arapahoe and later attended the Presbyterian Church in Kearney. Jay was a selfless man who cared for others above himself.

Jay enjoyed collecting and had a large collection of antiques and coins. The grandkids would call Jay to fix their cars and help with projects around the house. He was a handyman that could fix anything! But most of all, Jay enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and greatgrandchildren.

Jay is survived by his wife, Judy Krueger of Kearney; two daughters: Denice Swanson and her husband, Jeff of rural Oxford, Nebraska; and Brenda Fisher and her husband, Scott of rural Edison, Nebraska; five grandchildren: Natasha Rickley and her husband, Joe of Papillion, Nebraska; Anthony Fisher and his wife, Karmeca of Edison; Lacey Witt and Allen of Kearney; Seth Swanson and his wife, Jami of rural Oxford; Zack Swanson and his wife, Allisa of rural Oxford; eleven great-grandchildren: Trey, Gunnar, and Beckham Rickley; Kade and Genevieve Fisher; Sydney and Hank Witt; Shay, Caden, and Carson Swanson; and Charlotte Waller; two brothers-in-law: Dean Shelley of Oregon; and James Shelley of Sapopa, Oklahoma; three sisters-in-law: Pat Simpson of Cheyenne, Wyoming; Linda Brumley of Oregon City, Oregon; and Jean Marie Madden and her husband, Carl of Henderson, Nevada; along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

There will be no visitation or viewing. The family has honored his wish for cremation.
