KAY M. QUINN
A funeral service for Kay Quinn was held on Wednesday, February 19, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. at the Oxford United Methodist Church, Oxford, Nebraska with Pastor Albert Longe and Mr.
Neal McInturf, officiating. Interment will follow at the Oxford Cemetery.
Kay Marie Quinn, 82 years of age, of Oxford, passed away on Thursday, February 13, 2025, at Phelps Memorial Health Center in Holdrege. Kay was born in Cozad, Nebraska on August 1, 1942, the youngest of two children, born to Arthur William and Marie (Wunder) Hoselton. She received her education from Cozad Public Schools and later attended and graduated from Cozad High School, with the class of 1960.
On March 18, 1961, was united in marriage to Jerry L. Quinn in Cozad.
The couple made their home in Oxford, and union was blessed with two children: Kristi and Billy. The family made their home in Oxford and Kay worked as a Typesetter for the Oxford Standard for 18 years.
She then worked for the Ink Spot in Holdrege for four years.
She was a member of the Oxford United Methodist Church. In her free time, Kay could be found golfing, gardening and then canning the fruits of her labor. Kay loved to spend time with her family, especially her nieces, nephews and grandchildren. She will be remembered for her heart of gold and her giggle.
Kay was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Arthur James “Jim” Hoselton and wife, Cathryn; and two brothers-in-law: Willard “Duane” Quinn and wife, Carol Jean; and Mickey “Mick” Quinn.
Kay is survived by her husband, Jerry Quinn of Oxford; her children: Kristi Quinn of Oxford; and Billy Quinn; four grandchildren: Hunter Quinn and wife, Allie of Kearney; Savana Quinn and fiancé, Cooper Breinig of Holdrege; Sawyer Quinn of Kearney, Samantha Miller; one great-grandchild, Livviona Russell; sisterin- law, Lana Minner of Topeka, Kansas; along with nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
A visitation was held on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with family greeting friends from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Mitchell-Nelson-Bauer Funeral Home in Oxford.
A memorial has been established in Kay’s honor, and kindly suggested to the Cardinal Country Club in Oxford.
