Larry A. Bruening

Larry Allen Bruening, 84 of Hendley, Nebraska, passed away on September 17, 2024, of natural causes. Born on November 14, 1939, in Lexington, NE, to Bernard and Francis Bruening, Larry was a Navy veteran and dedicated machinist for over 57 years, primarily at CA Norgren.

A graduate of Wilsonville High School, Larry was an accomplished athlete and lifelong sports fan, especially of the Denver Broncos. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling, and reading, and was a proud lifetime member of the VFW.

Larry is survived by his daughters Cindy (Fred Mattivi) and Chrissy (Stacy Lefler), stepsons Dewayne (Jocelyn) and Rick Edwards, 12 grandchildren, 14 greatgrandchildren, brother Jim Bruening (Sharon), sister-in-law Dorothy Bruening, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Jeanette Bruening, infant son Robert Allen “Bobby” Bruening, stepdaughter Chaunte Edwards, parents Bernard and Francis Bruening, and brothers Gary and Richard Bruening.

The family invites you to celebrate the life of Larry Bruening at an open house on Thursday October 10th at 2pm on the Community Center in Hendley Nebraska.
