Luella J. Trosper

Luella Joyce (Bond) Trosper, 91, passed away on Thursday, July 23, 2026 at Mount Carmel Home-Keens Memorial in Kearney, NE.

Graveside services were held at 12 PM on Tuesday, July 28, 2026 at Ft. McPherson National Cemetery in Maxwell, NE. Memorial services were held at 1:30 PM Wednesday, July 29th at the Arapahoe Methodist Church in Arapahoe, NE.

Luella was born south of Wilsonville, NE on July 7, 1935 to George and Anna (Lang) Skiles.

She graduated high school in Wilsonville before she continued to graduated with her diploma in nursing from the Lincoln General Hospital in 1956.

She was united in marriage to Claud “CR” Bond in 1956. During their married life they moved to Washington State and Minnesota prior to returning to Nebraska.

Luella worked as a Registered Nurse during her move across the country.

She worked as an RN until she retired in 1997.

After Claud’s death in 1999, Luella continued to be a part of the United Methodist Women and would volunteer at the Arapahoe Museum and VFW. Luella then met and married Wren Trosper in 2003. They lived in Arapahoe until they needed more assisted living and moved to facilities in Kearney, NE.

She is survived by her two children, Vicki (Steve) Daigle of Sun City, AZ, and Richard (Valerie) Bond of Cambridge, NE; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; her siblings; and many cousins and other family members and loved ones. She was preceded in death by her parents, and both of her husbands.
