A Memorial Service for Margaret (Maggie) V. Thulin was held on Monday September 27, 2021 at 2:30 p.m. at the United Methodist Church in Oxford, Nebraska v.ri.th Pastors Albert Otshudi Longe and Linda Lou Knipping officiating. Inurnment followed at the Oxford Cemetery in Oxford.

Maggie Thulin, 88 years of age, passed away on September 20, 2021, atthe Good Samaritan Society - Colonial Villa in Alma, Nebraska. Maggie was born in Edison, Nebraska, to Ray and Addie (Fisher) Phillips, the youngest of three children. She started her education in Edison, later attending Oxford High School, graduating in 1950. On May 31, 1952, Maggie married Tony E. Thulin and together, made their home in Oxford.

Maggie was one of a kind. She was the best wife, Mother, Grandmother, Mother-in-Law and friend anyone could ask for. While she is gone, her memories will never fade for those she touched. From raising Turkeys with Tony, to helping folks at McGee's grocery store, to cooking lunches for the Oxford School System, she has touched the lives of many.

She loved watching sports. She was committed to the Oxford Cardinals, Nebraska Cornhuskers and the last few decades, the Southern Valley Eagles. She traveled the world to watch her grandchildren play ball. From Alma to Lincoln to Las Vegas, Nevada, to Pennsylvania and Colorado all to watch her grandchildren play. Cooking was a gift of Maggie's and many enjoyed her cinnamon rolls, sloppy joes, Chili and her famous Smothered Beef Burritos or Red Velvet Cake. No recipes will be shared (she didn't follow one).

Maggie is survived by her husband of 69 years, Tony Thulin. Maggie and Tony were blessed with a loving family: son, Terry Thulin and his wife, Brenda of Alma, Nebraska; daughters: Glenda Egbert and her husband, Jerry of Athens, Alabama; and Julie Wurster, and her late husband Kent, of Lincoln, Nebraska; Grandchildren: Toby Thulin of Alma; Nick and Becky Thulin of Lincoln; Lacey Egbert of Oklahoma City, OK; Leandra Egbert of Pensacola, FL; Bret and Keera Wurster of Denver, CO; Aly Wurster of Lincoln; and Kylee Wurster of Denver; Great-grandchildren: Evan and Hudson Thulin and Kellen Wurster.

The family asked for the services to be in casual attire. After the cemetery, there was a social gathering in Maggie's honor at the Oxford Senior Center, where refreshments were provided. She will be missed by many. A memorial has been established in Maggie's honor, and kindly suggested to the family for later designation.
