{ OBITUARY } BARBARA J. STUMP

Barbara J. Stump, age 84, of Oxford, Nebraska, passed away on Tuesday, April 4, 2023, at the Colonial Villa Good Samaritan Society in Alma, Nebraska. She was born June 10, 1938, in Beaver City, Nebraska to Ben and Nettie (Penrod) Park.

Barbara grew up in Beaver City and attended both Beaver City and Stamford Public Schools. She worked most of her life in restaurants as a waitress and even owned and operated one in Oxford. The thing Barbara loved most was her family, especially getting together at reunions or holidays. When the family get together there was always music, singing, dancing, and a lot of noise. Barbara rarely missed a Sunday Church service at the Edison Christian Church, where she attended most of her life. She loved cards, bingo, and any kind of puzzle.

She is survived by her son David Reynolds of Overton, Nebraska, daughters Susan Foster of Stamford, Nebraska, Betty Reynolds of Holdrege, Nebraska, Merry Northrup of Hastings, Nebraska, brother Robert Park of Windsor, Colorado, sisters Twila Kappers of Edison, Nebraska and Ruth Sayer of Cambridge, Nebraska, 3 grandchildren, Anna Schaben, Ryan Northrup, and Jenny Dusseau, 8 greatgrandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Orville, parents, brothers Charlie, Roger, and Kenneth.

Funeral service were held on Saturday, April 8, 2023 at 10:30 a.m. at Edison Christian Church, Edison, Nebraska with Pastor Kirk Einspahr, officiating. Viewing and visitation was held one hour before the service at the church. Interment followed at Edison Cemetery, Edison, Nebraska.
