Arapahoe, Cambridge, Hi-Line compete at Bulls Invite

ELWOOD - The Arapahoe wrestling team finished fifth while Hi-Line took ninth and Cambridge finished nth at the 14-team Hi-Line Invite n Friday.

Arapahoe had a pair of champions in 285-pound Levi Kerner and 170-pound Jordan Smith. Those led five total medalists for the Warriors, including Tristian White, who finished third at 145, and Corbin Carpenter and Wayne Lee, who each took fourth at 113 and 120 pound classes, respectively.

The Bulls’ Conner Schutz wrestled just over two minutes total in earning three pins to take first place at 182 pounds.

He and Jadeyn Kohl, who finished with four wins and took third place at 170, were the Bulls’ two medalists as they scored a total of 68 points for the tournament.

Cambridge also had a pair of medalists at the meet as the Trojans’ Bobby Evans finished second after a 5-4 loss in the finals to Sutherland’s Gavin White. The Trojans’ Karson Klumpe also finished third.
