The Arapahoe Warriors junior high football team traveled to Alma on Tuesday the 6th to take on the Cardinals.

The Warriors defense provided a spark early when Carl Nordine intercepted a Cardinal pass and returned it to the 26 yard line. After a 14 yard completion from Trenton Roskop to Chevy Wittmann, Nordine found the endzone from 1 yard out to put the Warriors up 6-0.

Alma scored on their next two drives to take a 16-6 lead, but the Warriors came right back and answered when Nordine broke loose on a dive up the middle for 47 yards to cut the Cardinal lead to 16-12.

The Cardinals scored again to go up 22-12.

On the Warriors next possession, they drove down to the 10 yard line before the Cardinals intercepted a pass. From there, the Cardinals went on a run scoring the next four touchdowns to go up 54-12, benefiting from some costly Warrior mistakes.

The Warriors did find the endzone again, this time on another run up the middle by Nordine from 31 yards out. Roskop added the conversion to make the final score 54-20. Leading tacklers for the Warriors: Roskop-7, Kade Fisher-4, Nordine-3, Eli Shafer-3, Chevy Wittmann-2, Grayson Koller-2, Hayden Sich-2.
